Location: Canyon
Air temp: mid 20s
Water temp: ??
Hatches: nope

Day 2 of opener was much like day 1. Lots of snow, slow fishing, but nice to be out. A couple fallen trees in the Alpha Hole have changed its drifts. Water levels looked good and the water was fairly tinted. Quickdraw killed them with buggers and large nymphs. No one had much luck with small nymphs, but #12s seemed to attract a strike or two.

Side note, I caught 7 browns on A small Wooly Bugger and 1 on a large Beedhead. All fish were taken from "Lance's Bench" It was my first successful outing with Wooly Buggers, I'm sure they will be worked in to the normal rotation now. The biggest fish was about 13" and the others all were between 8"-10".
The Curds were Tasty on opening weekend.
so, were you casting and then stripping them back in or were you using a dead drift?
Casting and stripping
water was 38 degrees.
who the hell is quickdraw?
me.
